The beginning - Piet de Heus, great-grandfather of the current owners, starts as a collector and lorre farmer on the Stougjesdijk in Greup, Mijnsheerenland. The trade focuses on old metals and goods, laying the foundation for the family business
Growth through agricultural mechanization - The rise of agricultural mechanization offers new opportunities, and the company switches to selling tractors and machinery. Machinery is purchased in the north of the Netherlands and sold in the south and Belgium, while trading in old metals continues.
Second generation and import from Italy - Huug de Heus, the second generation within the company, is laying the foundation for importing Bazzoli machines from Italy. The company builds long-term relationships with Italian brands such as Vaia, Remac, Tierre, Pennacchio and FCR.
Also at this time, Belgian dealers know how to find Heustractors, resulting in trucks full of used equipment leaving for the southern neighbors. This material is mostly bought through auctions and distributed throughout Belgium.
Beginning of used tractor exports - Under the leadership of Ed de Heus, the third generation, Syria becomes an important export market. Thousands of tractors are shipped to Syria, with which Heustractors contributes to agricultural mechanization in the country.
Global expansion through the fourth generation - Hugo and Bert de Heus join the company, leading to further expansion of exports to countries such as Thailand, Africa, the Middle East, South America and the Americas. In the following period, the company grows into one of the leading tractor export companies in Europe.
Rise of China - Heustractors begins importing machinery from China in 2003, including Boxeragri implements, Eurotrac compact wheel loaders, XCMG heavy equipment and Lovol tractors. These brands become an important pillar of the company and contribute to Heustractors' success and continued expansion.
Growth Moment and New Housing - Heustractors is outgrowing its premises and a new one is urgently needed. The company invests in a spacious building with a large parts warehouse, extensive workshop and large storage for the new machines.
Focus on new machines and European market - The company decides to stop exporting used tractors in 2021 so that all energy can be focused on selling new machines and building a strong dealer network in Europe
Innovation, Sustainable Solutions and New Storage Capacity - Heustractors responds to modern challenges such as electrification of machinery and pressure on the congested power grid. The range now includes XCMG electric shovels and excavators, which contribute to sustainable solutions in the agriculture and construction sectors. In partnership with Futurened, Heustractors provides batteries for energy storage and charging solutions, giving customers not only access to modern machinery but also prepared for the infrastructure of the future. The 2nd new warehouse is put into operation, creating an additional 2200 m² of covered storage space, significantly increasing the company's storage capacity
